SPEA OUTSTANDING PHYSICAL EDUATION TEACHER AWARD 2009

Nomination forms submission closing date extended to
24 March 2010

The SPEA conducts a biennial award to recognize the outstanding contributions teachers of physical education have made to the development and promotion of PE in Singapore. It aims to inject greater interest in the subject and to encourage and motivate PE teachers to raise their level of professional practice. The successful candidates, one from Primary category, one from Secondary (Sec)/Junior College (JC) and one from Institute of Technical Education (ITE) category will each receive a plaque and a cash award at this year’s SPEA Annual General Meeting in May 2010. Merit awards and commendation certificates will also be awarded to shortlisted nominees.

Nomination forms must be completed fully using the enclosed forms (2 pages) and be submitted via e-mail (postmaster@spea.org.sg) or by post (c/o Chow Mei Peng. 230 Stadium Boulevard. Singapore 397799) by Wednesday, 24th Mar 2010 (Extended Deadline).

Mr K Kesavadas admitted to St Andrews Community Hospital

Some of us may remember our long-time Honorary Treasurer, Mr K Kesavadas, also fondly known as Mr Dass. Mr Dass has recently been admitted to St Andrews Community Hospital. He's warded at Level 7, bed 17, in case we wish to visit with him.
