Invite to Contribute - Articles for SPEA newsletter 2024 Issue No.2

Dear Members & Readers

We are looking for PE teachers and Sports Coaches who can contribute in the following areas (Areas of Practice for Sfed): 

For Issue No.2, Nov/Dec (Submission Deadline: 25 Oct 2024, Friday)

• Inquiry-based learning in PE & Sports (IBL)

• E Pedagogy in PE and ICT in Sports (E-Pedagogy)

• Inclusive PE & Sports

For Issue No.1, June / July (Submission Deadline: 26 April 2024, Friday)

• Differentiated Instruction for PE & Sports (DI) 

• Affective Learning in PE, Character & Leadership Development in Sports (CCE)

• Assessment Literacy and Sports Performance Analysis (Assessment Literacy)

We will accept articles of the following,

1. Insights or commentaries on emerging trends, themes or issues concerning PE & Sports Coaches. For instance, the impact of AI on PE Teachers and Sports Coaches and challenges for Inclusive PE in Schools. 

2. Sharing of your department's professional development journey that has impacted students learning in PE.

3. Sharing initiatives or ideas promoting active participation in Sports and Outdoor activities. An example is school-wide or level-wide sports carnival or outdoor adventure programmes for specific groups of students.

4. Feature PE Teachers whose stories might be relevant to PE and Sports coaches but may not fit the abovementioned theme. For example, the personal success of how you have successfully engaged your students and gained the support of your peers or school management or changed the school's culture of PE and Sports. You may also nominate current or past PE and Sports educators whom you would like us to feature in the newsletter as part of our efforts to recognise individuals who have been role models to the PE fraternity.

5. Contribution by students, student leaders or student-athletes on the impact of PE, Sports Education or Outdoor Adventure Learning 

6. Photo journal/essays
