Recognising our PE Teachers for their outstanding achievement in their various field of work and sporting interests!
Congratulations, Mr Jason Lum, Lead Teacher, Physical Education, Fairfield Methodist Secondary, for being the recipient of the Fellow of Academy of Singapore Teachers, the highest level recognition award by AST.
This is the first time a PE teacher is awarded the AST fellow . And we are proud of his contributions to the broader education fraternity. Stay tuned for the next issue in 2024, June/July, as we will be featuring him.
Congratulations, Mr Yeo, for being the finalist in this President's Award for Teachers 2023. Mr Yeo has been in service for 23 years where he has served his current school for 8 years. He was previously with Kranj Secondary School and Northlight School. Go here to find out more.
Congratulations on playing a pivotal role in the recent Netball Nations Cup, where Team Singapore was the champion after 16 years since Singapore won the title in 2007. Ms Khor is the Co-Captain of the Netball National Team and in her 2nd Year of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) PE Programme. Click here to find out more about Ms Khor.
Mr Thanaraj Kalliya Perumal, HOD PE/CCA, Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, captained the Singapore 50s Masters Hockey Team in the World Masters Hockey, Asian Continental Cup 2023 in Hongkong, China from 20-27 Nov 2023. The team won the bronze medal in the competition. Congratulations to Raj and the National Masters Hockey Team!
Ms O Ming Fen, Subject Head (SH), Student Leadership, Hua Yi Secondary School, represented Singapore in the Women’s Masters Hockey Team at the World Masters Hockey, Asian Continental Cup 2023 in Hongkong, China from 20-27 Nov 2023.
The team won the gold medal in the competition and was featured on various national media for making history in the inaugural competition.
