Latest! Release of SPEA Newsletter 2025 Jubilee Edition
It is with a deep sense of gratitude and humility that I continue my service as President of SPEA for a third term. Thank you for your vote of confidence and, more importantly, for the tremendous support and encouragement you have extended to me.
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Management Committee members who have served alongside me over the past four years. Your dedication has demanded considerable time and effort, given freely despite your own heavy professional commitments. Thank you sincerely for the many sacrifices you have made in fulfilling your responsibilities on the committee.
To the incoming Management Committee members, welcome aboard, and thank you for stepping up to volunteer your time and effort in service of the PE and Sport fraternity. You are joining us at a significant moment, as we undertake the important task of reviewing our association's strategic focus and priorities to ensure close alignment with our revised vision, mission, and values. Thank you, in advance, for the meaningful contributions we will all make together in this new two-year term.
With the successful conclusion of our 50th Anniversary celebrations last year, 2026 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in SPEA's development as we look forward to the next 50 years. Guided by our vision to build a community of inspiring and innovative PE and sports professionals, SPEA will continue to explore, recognise, and advocate for professionalism and best practices in Physical Education through our network of PE and Sports professionals, both locally and internationally.
Beyond school-based professional development and MOE-supported platforms for PE and Sport educators to hone their teaching skills, SPEA is well positioned to facilitate deeper learning through workshops, seminars, and discussions, as well as professional sharing via our newsletters and social media platforms.
Let us press forward with renewed determination to strengthen our professional practice and foster a culture of collaboration and learning among our fellow PE and Sports professionals.
Thank you.
Koh Yiak Kheng, Leonard
President
